🗓️ Week 5

This week, I poured 21 hours into researching, coding, and documenting 1 project, fueled by 11 cups of coffee.

This week, I attended EthCC 7 where I presented my project on EPF Day. I met the EF protocol team, fellows from the cohort, core devs, and many interesting people. Before leaving, I hurried through a hackathon and won a prize.

Throughout the week, I discussed my project with everyone I met. The Nethermind team has been working on benchmarking gas for all clients using an internal tool and has shared their findings with me.

I have also been studying the economics of pricing. I read the excellent "Tragedy of the commons" by Garret Hardin. The paper discusses how a growing population will eventually abuse commons. The Ethereum network is fundamentally a commons—a shared resource accessible to all members of the community.

Next Steps:

  • Review all pricing research.
  • Study reports by Netheremind.
  • Submit project proposal.
